At ScienceAdda, we create a fun and unforgettable learning experience for children in the area of Science. We innovate and create thematic (topics in science) experiential Science pavilions that are curated (by storytellers) and delivered to children at schools or public locations.
These experiences allow children to relate what they learn at school (curriculum) to real-life applications. Our Thematic Pavilions cover single topics (taught in school) like Water, Electricity etc. to more complex / applied ones like Science of Transportation & Science of Entertainment.
All experiences are very interactive and HANDS ON. We have contracts with the schools & deliver shows at their locations.
Science and its mysteries have always intrigued children and they seem to have a never ending list of how’s, what’s and why’s. Reading is not the only way to unravel these mysteries. A practical hands-on approach works a lot better in clarifying scientific concepts and quenching their curiosity.
You may ask, why is CURIOSITY important ?
Well, I’m sure all of you understand that the tests that you score marks in, are to a large extent, memory tests ? They do not give you a feel for the “why” question. Nature and Science even, is all about “Why”.
- Why does paint peel off some walls but not from a drawing sheet ?
- Why do dry items not heat up in a microwave (eg. Thermocole) ?
- And a million other questions ….
And that’s where we come in.
ScienceAdda’s vision is to kindle children’s curiosity for science by facilitating exploratory learning. Our guiding principle is Hands-On = Minds-On, so we engage with children in a variety of stimulating ways.
We are so passionate about Curiosity that we are developing a new measure, CQ for Curiosity Quotient (just like your Intelligence Quotient or IQ and Emotional Quotient or EQ).
We, like other Science enthusiasts in the country, feel that the educational ecosystem places too much stress on scoring marks. We’d like the children to enjoy Science in a hands-on manner and also be able to appreciate Science from a real life angle.
The existing laboratories, we believe, are completely outdated (there has been no significant change in them in the last 50 years) and we think that Science as it taught and the real life applications are completely anachronistic. ScienceAdda has an experiential Science learning model / methodology that is mobile, curated and thematic. These experiences allow children to relate what they learn at school (curriculum) to real-life applications. Being thematic, ScienceAdda curators (storytellers) cover one topic or theme (eg Sound, Light, Water etc) over a 90 minute period at schools across the country. ScienceAdda is gaining tremendous respect for raising the curiosity levels of individuals and enabling touch-&-feel exploration while having fun.
ScienceAdda is a rethinking how Science is taught in schools across India. We tie every concept back to real life application. Our mantra is Hands-On=Minds-On.
Come, join this revolution.
Imagine a world class museum moving into your local site
Our Pavilion shows run at schools and the duration of each is about 90 minutes. A pavilion is a thematic exploration on one topic : eg. Electricity, Water, Air & Atmosphere etc. Each theme covers all of the Science subjects ie. cuts across Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Sciences and even things like Geography.

ScienceAdda presents some full filled workshops to keep the kids busy during vacation. We offer workshops on ‘Fundatronics’ and ‘Garage Chemistry’. These fun filled workshops are sure to keep the little ones busy.So what’s unique about our workshops? For starters, the workshops include theme based Pavilions that are curator led. Apart from the learning experience, we also have a bit of fun with electronics, not to mention group DIY activities and more. Rest assured, your child will know a lot more and be ready to TEACH you when he/she returns from our workshops.
